Frequent Asked Questions

A Free tour is a tour without a fixed price! Thus, It is risk free! We have adopted the popular concept of Pay-what-you-want. At the end of the tour you can leave a tip to the guide, as generous as you decide. We are not sponsored by anyone including the municipality, a museum, nor a private organization. The guides are paid only with the tip and they keep the whole of it!

No, you do not. That is the cool thing about the Free tour. You can just show up at the meeting point some 10-15 min before the tour starts. However, if you are a larger group of more than 8+ people, please give us a call/message in advanced and we can organize a private tour for your group.

All guides of Sofia Free Walking Tours that you will meet are not volunteers! They are professional licensed guides, approved by the Ministry of Tourism. They are reliable and knowledgeable. This is the best free tour that you can get!

No, there are no breaks. However there are many places to sit down during our stops at the main sites and also there are some options for a toilet. But if you need to make a pause tell the guide. We will find a solution!
